About Astanga Vinyasa Yoga

Yoga means union, connection. It is a well-tested practical philosophy of life that originating in India many thousands of years ago. It is a collection of physical exercises and mental practices to align our bodies, calm our minds and achieve our highest potential.

Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is a classical system of yoga originally transmitted by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. It is about synchronizing breath and movement. The movement is a series of postures. The process produces a strong internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.

This in turn has a profound effect on the mind. Thinking becomes clearer, and one experiences a unique calmness and clarity.

Done with awareness Ashtanga yoga is a moving meditation where body and mind learn to dance as one. It’s a tool of personal growth that is as fun as it is transforming.

Techniques of yoga are thousands of years old, yet they are maybe more valid today than ever before. Yoga continues to evolve through the years to meet the needs of every individual - to help us rediscover our fullest potentials.  Yoga helps you to move through life being conscious and aware.
